NARRATIVE:

     On 22 July 1870 Robert appeared on the 1870 federal census in the household of his father, Robert R. Young, in Sugar Notch Borough, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.3 On 3 June 1880 Robert appeared on the 1880 federal census in the household of his father, Robert R. Young, on Blackman Street in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.4
     His mother, Rebecca Kellet, died on 21 December 1899 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.1,5,6
     On 6 June 1900 Robert was enumerated as the head of the household at 60 McBaragher St. in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, in the federal census of 1 June 1900. Amy Young, Elizabeth Young, Amy R. Young and Myrtle Young also lived there at the time of the enumeration. Robert rented their home and worked as a baker at the time of the census.2
     His father, Robert R. Young, died on 26 August 1906 in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.7,8
     On 22 April 1910 Robert was enumerated as the head of the household at 96 Sanbourne St. in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, in the federal census of 15 April 1910. Amy Young, Amy R. Young and Myrtle Young also lived there at the time of the enumeration. The family rented their home, while Robert worked as a baker.9
