     Adda Mary Rector was born on Wednesday, 10 March 1869 in Richland, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.1 Adda died at age 94 on Friday, 13 September 1963 at her home at 3720 Midway in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.1 Adda was buried at Riverside Cemetery in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.1

NARRATIVE:

     On 6 June 1870 Adda appeared on the 1870 federal census in the household of her father, Samuel Willard Rector, in Richland, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.2 On 17 June 1880 Adda appeared on the 1880 federal census in the household of her father, Samuel Willard Rector, in Richland.3 At the time of her marriage in 1895, Adda was a seamstress in Richland.4
     On 10 April 1930 Adda was enumerated as the head of the household at 1612 Highland Ave. in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, in the federal census of 1 April 1930. Carl O. Wheeler, George W. Wheeler and Emogene Waling also lived there at the time of the enumeration. Addie owned her home, which was worth $4000. She did not work at the time of the census, but she did own a radio set.5
     Her mother, Adeline Hawley, died on 1 June 1937 in Richland, at age 97.6
