KEY EVENTS:

     Charlotte Grant was born about 1844 in Canada.3 Charlotte and Jeremiah Paul Annett, son of Jeremiah Annett and Charlotte Phipps, were married on Friday, 4 December 1863 in Elgin County, Ontario.4 Charlotte died on Thursday, 3 November 1881 in Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana.5

NARRATIVE:

     Her daughter, Eliza, died on 1 October 1865 in Southwold Township.6 She appeared on the 1871 national census in Southwold Township, Elgin County, Ontario, in the household of George Annett, her brother-in-law. Also living in the household were her husband, Jeremiah Paul Annett, and their children, George and Minerva. The census noted that she belonged to the Church of England nad was of Scotch origin. It also noted that she could neither read nor write.7
     Her daughter, Minerva, died on 24 January 1872 in Southwold Township.6 Charlotte Grant was ill with a "lung fever" at the time of the federal census enumeration in 1880.3 On 1 June 1880 Charlotte appeared on the 1880 federal census in the household of her husband, Jeremiah Paul Annett, in Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana.3
