KEY EVENTS:

     Nancy Loveland was born about 1849 in Michigan.1 Nancy and John Grant, son of Charles Grant and Esther McWilliams, were married on Tuesday, 21 June 1870 in Galesburg, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, by A. D. Beckwith, Justice of the Peace.1 Nancy and Horace William Crane, son of Joseph Delevan Crane and Lucyette Parmeter, were married on Tuesday, 18 April 1876 in Casco, Allegan County, Michigan, by J. G. Pattis, Justice of the Peace, while H. W. Bishop and Edie Smith, both of Casco, acted as witnesses.2 Nancy died on Saturday, 10 February 1906 in South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana.3,4

NARRATIVE:

     Nancy lived in Charleston Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, in 1870.1 Nancy lived in South Haven, Van Buren County, Michigan, in 1876.2 On 11 June 1880 Nancy appeared on the 1880 federal census in the household of her husband, Horace William Crane, in South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana.5
     Her daughter, Eliza, died on 9 June 1888 in Lee Township, Allegan County, Michigan, at age 17.6 On 8 June 1900 Nancy appeared on the 1900 federal census in the household of her husband, Horace William Crane, at 822 Lafayette in South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana.7
